CHAMP V packer is a suspended recyclable packer with concentric bypass; Can be used for testing, acid fracturing, and injection operations in casing wells.

Structural characteristics

① The sealing unit of the three rubber cylinder combination improves the sealing pressure difference of the packer;

② Equipped with a concentric bypass mechanism, it provides a large overcurrent area;

③ After the packer seat is sealed, the pressure inside the pipe column acts on the balance piston and the closed bypass hole, making the closure of the bypass hole more reliable;

④ Simply lift it up to open the bypass hole (without the need to rotate the tubing string), and it can circulate below the packer as needed.

operation

CHAMP packer is a mechanical seat packer. During the downhole process, the bypass hole is always open. When sealing, first lower the packer to a slightly lower position than the seat seal, then lift it up to the seat seal position, rotate the column to the right and maintain the torque to the right, lower the weight of the column until the bypass hole is closed and the packer is seated. Remove the torque to the right and the seat seal is complete.

When unsealing, directly lift the pipe column, open the bypass hole, balance the pressure difference between the upper and lower parts of the rubber cylinder, and continue to lift to unseal the packer.
