Tool Introduction

During the process of lowering the working column into the well, the TST pressure test valve is used to perform pressure testing on the working column. Multiple pressure tests can be conducted on the column as needed.

Structural characteristics

① During the process of lowering the pipe column into the well, the shear pin keeps the operating core shaft in the closed position of the plate valve at all times;

② The operating core shaft maintains balance under the pressure inside the pipe column and its position is not affected by the pressure inside the pipe column;

③ During the process of lowering the working column into the well, this valve can be used to perform multiple pressure tests on the working column;

④ Once this valve is operated to open the plate valve, it cannot be closed again and remains open at all times.

operation

The operating pressure of the TST pressure test valve is usually set at about 100OPsi above the liquid column pressure at its well depth, which can be used as the first stage pressure for annulus pressurization; After the packer seat is sealed, the annulus is pressurized until the shear pin is cut off. The core shaft is operated upwards to open the plate valve. Once the plate valve is opened, it cannot be closed again and remains in an open state.
