This tool needs to be used in conjunction with the feeding tool and the anchoring seal to achieve the purpose of shutting in and opening the well. When the tool is lowered into the well, it is connected to the feeding tool, and the ball valve is in the open state. In case of emergency, the feeding tool is exited, and the ball valve will be closed; When the ball valve needs to be opened again, the anchor seal needs to be lowered into the well and docked with the tool, while the ball valve is opened.

Based on its structural characteristics, it needs to be used in conjunction with the sending tool and remains in an open state when going down the well. When the packer needs to be seated, the pipe string is lifted up, and the protruding ear of the tool shaft is limited by the left-hand nut and cannot go up again. Stop lifting the pipe string, seat the packer, and after the packer is seated, the pipe string is lowered and the tool returns to its state when going down the well.

When it is necessary to shut in the well and exit the feed tool, first turn the tubing string to the right. At this time, the left-hand nut will be limited by the lower end face of the upper joint. Then lift the tubing string up until it can no longer move up. During this process, the tubing string will run for a distance, and the ball valve will be closed to maintain the upward lifting force of the tubing string. If a sealing test is required for the ball valve, the diameter can be pressurized.

Maintain the lifting force on the tubing string, rotate the tubing string to the right until the left-hand nut fully retracts. At this point, remove the tool and fully release the retrievable downhole shut-off valve.

When it is necessary to reconnect and open the ball valve, the anchor seal is lowered into the well and the pipe string is pressed down. Due to the notch on the left-hand thread of the anchor seal's return anchor claw, the return anchor claw can be easily inserted into the outer cylinder of the detachable return type downhole shut-off valve, engaging with the left-hand thread inside the outer cylinder. At the same time, the connecting claw of the detachable return type downhole shut-off valve will be docked with the groove on the anchor seal opening shaft, and the pipe string will continue to be pressed down. The ball valve will be opened and the reconnection will be completed.
