Tool Introduction

RTTS circulation valve is a locking tool that can be used as both a circulation valve and a bypass valve for both opening and closing.

The RTTS circulation valve can be directly screwed onto the upper end of the packer or RTTS safety joint, and then threaded into the test string. When the tool is lowered into the well, the circulation valve is locked in the open position, and the groove of the packer friction block is also placed in the locked position. During the process of going down the well, it is necessary to prevent the friction block sleeve from sliding upwards, which will cause the packer slip to sit and close the circulation valve. The valve can be displayed on the ground by rotating the pipe column when it is closed.

① When the tool is lowered into the well, the RTTS circulation valve is locked in the open position, and the groove of the RTTS packer friction block is also locked in the locked position;

operation

This type of circulation valve is designed to be used in conjunction with RTTS packers. When the packer is set, the RTTS circulation valve automatically locks in the closed position. Its working principle is to lift up the joint, rotate the right spindle by 1/4 turn (90 °), and push down the spindle by about 167.5mm to cycle the joint to the locked closed position; Lift the spindle and turn it 1/4 turn to the right. Then, open the tool again and turn it 1/4 turn to the left until it reaches the locked open position. Be careful not to loosen the pipe string when turning left while underground.
