Layer selection anchor is a testing and anchoring device for hanging wall support in open hole wells; When naked eye testing is required, connect it to the lower part of the packer, anchor it to the naked eye wellbore wall when sealing the packer, and support the upper pipe column.

The layer selection anchor consists of a slip mechanism, a transposition mechanism, and a friction spring.

Structural characteristics

① The layer anchor does not need to support the bottom of the well, and can be supported by hanging on the wall at a suitable position in the naked eye;

② Suitable for layer selection testing of long naked eye segments.

operation

Select the layer anchor and lower it to the predetermined depth of the well. Lift the pipe string up so that the protruding ear is at the lower position of the short groove. Turn the pipe string right 1-3 times, while maintaining torque, lower the pipe string and apply a load. The vertebral body descends, the slip opens, and the anchor is placed on the wellbore wall; When unsealing the packer, lift the tubing string, apply tensile load, raise the vertebral body, retract the clamp, and release the anchor.
